The Key West Artisan Market is holding a Holiday Market on Dec 22nd.
A wonderful event designed to showcase local artisans, crafters and farmers,
the Artisan Market is bringing some holiday flare just in time for Christmas.
The event will take place Sunday, Dec 22nd from 10 am to 2 pm at 1111 Eaton Street, The Restaurant Store. Free
parking will be provided courtesy of Strunk Ace Hardware, bike racks will be provided and guests are encouraged to bring
their own shopping bags.
Included in this event will be locally crafted food, beverages, art of all
mediums, textiles, jewelry, books, music and random provisions you can only
find in the Keys. All of this is just in time for those hard-to-shop-for people
on your Christmas list.
Some favorites include The
Tomato Man, with locally grown produce from the southern-most parts of
Florida. The Restaurant Store will be offering an extensive range of wine, craft beers and gourmet cheeses. The
Key West Spice Company will be on hand to offer their packaged blends of
hand-crafted spices and seasonings. Cupcake Sushi will be selling their
hand-rolled cupcakes that look like sushi.
The Conch Republic Quilt factory will be selling their
beautifully hand-dyed silk scarves, ruffled scarves and quilts. Several
artisans will be selling their hand-crafted
jewelry, including Hooked on Key West, an artisan that creates really
unique fish hook jewelry.
Chef Martin will
be conducting demonstrations
throughout the day for Conch Ceviche. Corner Café and Christopher Rehm will be
singing for your entertainment, and there will be dance performances by
CoffeeMill Dance Studio. Concessions, wine and craft beer (sold by the bottle
and glass) will be available to all attendees.
There is no better way to
support your local artisans and craftsmen than to shop local art
events such as these. One of the best features of Key West is its culture, and
