Imagine spending a wonderful day on a Key West beach and coming home to your brand new home just down the walk. Talk about the best of both worlds. The really wonderful part about this is that interest rates and home prices remain low enough for you to afford coming home to many of the properties in Key West.
One thing we need to remember though is prices are starting to rise just slightly. In many markets there is a shortage of available homes and demand is up, which means that we are entering a seller’s market. You may ask what this really means to you in Key West.
What it means to a seller is you may want to hold out and see how much prices will rise before you put your property on the market. If you are a buyer, however, it means that if you don’t act quickly you may find yourself paying more for the property that gets you closer to the beach.
Speaking of getting closer to the beach, remember that the 3rd Annual Key West BrewFest 2012 with over 150 beers for the tasting will be held on Labor Day Weekend Aug. 30 – Sept. 3, 2012. What a great way to wrap up the unofficial end of the summer season. But remember that there is always more to do in Key West. We will have Womenfest Key West from Sept. 4-9, and Robert James Sales S.L.A.M. Celebrity Tournament. From Sept. 7-9.
So, in a market where homes are still affordable and there is always something happening to keep you entertained, why not pick up that little piece of heaven where you can work, play, and be home for dinner in Key West?
I am sure we can find that perfect place for you to enjoy paradise and whether you’re a tourist, looking to move permanently to the Keys, or just someone who likes the beauty of nature, the great variety of amenities in the homes in our area are yet one more reason to want to live in beautiful Key West.
