New Pirate Exhibit at Fisher Maritime Museum

Pirate

Running now through June 2012 at the Fisher Maritime Museum is a new exhibit titled "Pirates: Menace & Mayhem." Here's an excerpt from the Museum's website:

Sail away to a rich collection of authentic 17th-century shipwreck artifacts from the Golden Age of Piracy. Meet Blackbeard, Anne Bonny, and a host of other wily seafarers – find out who are the good guys and who must swing from the yardarm!

You'll visit a notorious buccaneer pub ... hear the stirring saga of Blackbeard’s last fight ... meet swashbuckling female pirates ... and discover the differences between real-life "brethren of the coast" and their counterparts in fiction and film.

See never before seen pirate artifacts recovered from an actual 18th-century pirate ship. Take an unparalleled look at life under the infamous black flag.
