Key West Memorial to Rough Riders of the Spanish American War

Rough_rider
In 1898 President Theodore Roosevelt created an all-cavalry regiment, the Rough Riders, when the United States declared war on Spain. On June 3 & 4 Key West will pay tribute to the Rough Riders with a memorial dedication at the convent that was used as a hospital during the war, a blessing at historic marker 60 and a salute to past and present soldiers of war.  Call 305-393-9777 for more information.
